Tucker Johnson Receives 2025 Meeker County Farm Bureau Scholarship
The Meeker County Farm Bureau is proud to award a $700 scholarship to Tucker Johnson of Grove City. A graduating senior from Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School, Tucker will attend Ridgewater College this fall to study in the Agricultural Equipment Mechanics program.
Tucker’s roots in agriculture run deep. He grew up helping on his family’s farm and his uncle’s dairy operation, started his own cattle herd, and now works for a local farmer, experiences that have shaped his passion for the industry. He plans to one day operate his own ag mechanics shop while continuing to farm alongside his dad.
Throughout high school, Tucker has shown leadership in FFA, serving as Vice President, participating in dairy judging, the corn drive, and helping organize ag education events for elementary students. He also volunteers at youth sports camps and supports the Atwater go-kart track each summer to ensure kids in the community have a place to race.
Tucker’s work ethic and attitude have earned praise from both teachers and employers. Bradley and JoAnn Gratz, local Farm Bureau members and operators of a crop and dairy farm, shared:
“Tucker is a joy to work with due to his kindness, dependability, and consistently thoughtful interactions… His attention to detail and drive to grow make him stand out as a young person in agriculture.”
Tucker’s high school teacher, Terry Singsank, added:
“Tucker is an exceptional individual with a high level of integrity and character… He has been one of my most highly regarded students.”
The scholarship award was presented by Meeker County Farm Bureau Vice President, Alan Barka, on May 18, 2025.
We are proud to support Tucker as he continues his journey in agriculture and look forward to all he will contribute to the industry and his community in the years to come.
