Mitchell Lipinski Receives 2025 Meeker County Farm Bureau Scholarship

The Meeker County Farm Bureau is proud to award a $700 scholarship to Mitchell Lipinski of Eden Valley, Minnesota. Mitchell will graduate this spring from Eden Valley-Watkins High School and plans to study Agribusiness at North Dakota State University, where he will pursue his passion for agricultural marketing and business through the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources. The $700 scholarship was presented by Meeker County Farm Bureau President, Matt Johnson on May 14.

Mitchell has demonstrated exceptional commitment across academics, athletics, FFA, and other leadership roles. In high school, he earned varsity letters in football, wrestling, baseball, and senior high choir, serving as team captain in all three sports and choir president. He helped lead his football team to a state title, placed at individual wrestling sections, and was a two-time Choir Student of the Year. Mitchell is also an active member of NHS, and participated in Student Council and Peer Tutoring.

His FFA involvement is just as impressive. As Chapter Treasurer, he kept accurate financial records while contributing to key events such as the corn drive, FFA Week, and fruit sales. He has competed in Poultry Evaluation since 2019, earning a 1st and 2nd place finish in Region V and advancing to the Minnesota FFA State Competition both years. He was also recognized with a State FFA Degree and a Poultry Proficiency Award.

Mitchell's passion for agriculture is clear:

“Agriculture has had a massive impact on my life and that’s why I want it to be a part of my future,” he wrote in his scholarship essay. “Through NDSU’s Ag program, I believe I can tackle my goals. I want to grow my knowledge of ag marketing and business, and I plan to stay involved in ag-related clubs that will solidify my foundation for a career in agriculture.”

Educators and mentors who’ve worked with Mitchell speak highly of his dedication, character, and leadership. FFA Advisor Tyler Warren noted:

“Mitchell is a true role model for his peers. He has consistently demonstrated a sincere passion for learning, a remarkable work ethic, and outstanding leadership. He’s the kind of student who makes a lasting impact on his school and community.”

Wrestling Coach Daniel Berg added:

“Mitchell is one of the hardest-working student-athletes I’ve ever coached. He leads by example, balances the demands of multiple sports and academics, and motivates everyone around him. He’s the definition of a student leader.”

We’re excited to support Mitchell as he takes the next step in his agricultural journey and look forward to the impact he’ll make in the years ahead.
